Robo Machines (Transformers)The Robo Machines original comic artwork will be on display for the very first time as part of the “Invasion” exhibition at the Dorman Museum this autumn.  In the 1980s the Japanese toy company Bandai teamed up with the Eagle comic in the UK to introduce their new ground-breaking toys which were robots that could “transform” into other vehicles.  These robots were the forerunners of the “Transformers” which have now proved so popular in recent films.  Mario was the very first artist to work on these stories and twenty pieces of his original artwork from October to December 1984 will be exhibited.  The exhibition will run from 3rd October 2015 till 17th January 2016 at the Dorman Museum in Middlesbrough.  The artwork should appeal to adults and children alike who enjoy sci-fi.  Please check www.dormanmuseum.co.uk for opening days and times and please note that charges do apply for this exhibition.
